Our every day adventures...

As we reach the end of the month, it's time for some every day adventures to fill the blog.

This kid and his crazy hat obsession. Today's hat brought to you from... our Popcorn Popper.

A play date with a friend. These two are about a week apart in age.

I spy with my little eye... someone hiding in my bed!

Starting them young. She took my shoes AND my keys and was on her way out the door.

This boy. He gets a lot of camera time since he is the only one around with his Momma weekday morning.

Field trip at the children's museum.

My boys.

My kids.

My good friend brought me a treat because she always knows when I need a pick me up. My favorite part was that she brown bagged it so the kids couldn't see what it was so I could keep it to myself. Also because it was made with Gluten.

My sisters friend made these adorable dress up outfits for my girls.

My babes.

This girl has a gift. She has marker radar. Even when we don't think there could possibly be anymore markers, she always manages to find one. Now that I think of it, maybe she's collecting a secret stash?

My girls.

I love that my girls are best friends (most of the time). They remind me of me and my best friend growing up. Ashley and I were exactly 2 years apart (we shared a birthday) so even the age difference is similar. Love these crazy girls.

And I love that these two are such good friends as well. They do absolutely everything together. He even lets her do his hair...

Again with the marker!

Again with the "hats".

Aubrey actually fell asleep like that...

The day my freshly bathed, and naked babe made a mad dash out the front door to see his sister off to school...

Nana's impromptu birthday party. We were excited to hear they were heading our way for her birthday and quickly turned it into a fun birthday bash.

My little duckling...

And... that's a wrap. For this month.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt...

Every year our neighborhood has a big Easter Egg Hunt... or should I say race? They usually do it when we are out of town celebrating with family so we've never been able to go before but this year they did it earlier in the month so we got to go.

I was surprised by how many people showed up for the event. And as I look at these pictures, I realize how crazy it is that we have sooooo many children in our neighborhood. When I was growing up, there were probably only a handful of kids my age. But look at this crowd. And this isn't even everyone who was there...

I really loved how they did the hunt. They had the field divided into 3 or 4 sections and separated the kids out by age so no little kids were trampled in the process. The kids all seemed to have a lot of fun.

First runners up... Aubrey and Zack.

Next up... Brooklyn.

The funny thing about this race was that Brooklyn came out of it with an empty bag. Not a single egg. She did say she gave the ones she had to her friends because they didn't have very many.

And finally... it was Madison's turn.

Although the kids had fun running around with their friends, I think the part I liked best about this egg hunt was that every kid had to trade in their eggs to get a bag full of candy. Meaning no child was left without any candy. And no children went home with more than their share of the goods.

Seriously, can you believe all of those kids live in our neighborhood???

When family comes to town...

This past week has been a busy one. You know with family pictures, breaking arms and spending as much time as possible with your sister and her sweet family who came all the way from Oregon to see us. But it has been a fun one. I didn't take near enough pictures while they were here because I was too busy keeping the kids from being so crazy. But I did get a few worth remembering.

I know I've already shared all of our family pictures but I just love them so much and had to share a few of them again.

It actually pains me to think just how few pictures I took... I didn't even get a picture of sweet baby Naomi!
Lucky for me, Katie our photographer did!

We did take another trip to our favorite shopping center to play...

The boys loved the freedom. Even if they did have a string attached. At least they go to feel like they were in control of where they went.

See, Heidi was there too! Even if all you can see is her back.

 Zack getting his groove on...

Aubrey loved being in control of where her brother could go...

These boys were just starting to get to the point where they were ready to run around and wreck havoc together and they had to up and leave us... One week was not near long enough.

Please come back to visit soon! We sure miss you guys!
