An ice skating adventure...

We thought it would be fun to take the kids ice skating. Brooklyn had been begging for a very long time to go again. We ended up finding a Groupon and decided it was finally time to go. We invited the rest of my family to join us and it was definitely a fun adventure for all.

Aubrey was hilarious. She loved being on the ice, but pretty much refused to put any pressure on her own feet... giving herself spaghetti legs and leaving whoever was assisting her with a whole lot of dead weight.

Zack was a natural, although he didn't do much of the work himself either...

Brooklyn loved every minute of it...

Even if she did fall a few times.

I hadn't been skating in many, many years so it was fun to see that I still had it in me. It was great to get out there and skate. We will definitely be doing this again before too long. But maybe next time we bring the stroller for the babes???

Who's behind? Mine!

So it seems as though I've let time slip through my fingers and I am a bit behind on my blog. It's only the last weekend of February and I still haven't posted most of my January pictures... NO big deal. To keep things in order though, I will be post dating this post.

Now for a mega picture overload.

Family sleepover in the family room

That time my girls dressed up Joshua in their dress up clothes...

That time I realized we don't fit at our table very well anymore now that Aubrey and Zack refuse to use their high chairs...

That time Brooklyn had a lunch date with her friends...

The hat and those shoes...

The time my hair was actually getting kind of long before I decided to chop it off. Longest I've had it in years! (Don't mind the water splatters on the mirror. Thanks for that one kids!)

That one time I decided to change the fabric on our headboard, not once, but twice in one week...

Bowl lickin' good Frozen Yogurt...
The time my phone was taken over by the littles...

The time Aubrey got to bring their class friend, Rowlf, home for the weekend.

The time Zack decided my feet were dirty and needed to be cleaned...

The time we played at the Chick-fil-a play place.

The time I took my babies to Costco with me...

The time Brooklyn pouted the entire time we drove because we wanted to listen to a different CD than we were...

The time his food put him to sleep...

The time the kids all decided to lay on top of Mom for quiet time...

The moment I realized this post is getting way too long...

The Troublesome Duo

We've reached a point in our lives, where it officially feels like we have twins. Aubrey and Zack are the cutest little pair but boy are they busy!!! They love spending time together but probably most importantly, they LOVE making trouble together. You can't take your eyes off of these two for even a minute. And if you do, you will almost always regret it...

We couldn't find these two one day as we were getting ready to leave. Apparently we were too slow at getting out of the house for their liking...

The day I found Aubrey and Zack with crayon in hand, I knew I was in trouble. I felt much better after I found what they had colored. It could have been SO much worse.

And then I found this... Sigh.
Apparently they felt like Zack's bedroom needed a complete overhaul on room decor. They did two entire walls and the window! Thankfully it came off fairly easily with a magic erasure and a little elbow grease. Thanks again Kate for joining the disaster clean up crew!

The next day, this happened. Half the box was found on the floor, the other half was found IN the heat vent...

Our vacuum looked like one of those toy vacuums filled with the little balls that pop when you push it...

I always have to take pictures when this happens though to help me remember the craziness will eventually come to a halt...

And then they wake back up again...

But I always love moments like these. Aubrey had fallen asleep in the middle of the kitchen and Zack could not stand being away from her so he curled up next to her while she slept, just so he could be close to his best friend. This boy sure loves his sister!

And it's always fun to watch them work together. Even if it makes my job so much harder.

I'm mean seriously, how could you not love these two?
Now if only I could channel all their energy into doing things that I actually want them to do. Like cleaning up their toys or making their beds. Maybe some day I guess.
Until then, I'll just have to keep on taking pictures of their many crazy adventures.
