You want me to ride what?

Yesterday Madison went on her very first horse back ride. My friend Jen from work has a couple of horses and offered to let us come and ride. It had been MANY years since I had been on a horse but we had a lot of fun. Madison really seemed to enjoy it even though you might not be able to tell it from the pictures. We couldn't ever catch the smiles. Madison Kept putting her arm up in the air while we were riding. I couldn't figure out if she was trying to be a rodeo queen in a parade or if she was playing bucking bronco. Either way it was still cute!

Memorable Memorial Day!

We love holiday weekends! This past weekend we were able to spend a lot of time with family and just enjoy the fact that we didn't have anywhere we had to be. We were able to relax, play games, eat lots of yummy food and just be plain lazy. We had a birthday party for Karl's grandma on sunday and then a family party with my mom's side of the family. We had so much fun and Madison loves having other little cousins to play with.

Madison and her cousins Quincy, Tessa, and Ari at her first big Slumber Party! Uncle Robbie brought his projector up and we all enjoyed sitting around watching Enchanted on the big screen. There were so many people at our slumber party that people were fighting for a spot to sleep. Madison really seemed to enjoy it.

In this picture Madison kept trying to reach for the plastic bag on the side of our computer desk. I kept saying "no not the bag" and she would look up at me, smile and wait until I wasn't looking so that she could try and grab it again. I took this picture though because Madison wore herself out playing this game and actually ended up falling asleep in this position. It didn't last long though because Karl came downstairs and started talking and she jumped right back up.

And last but not least this is a picture of Madison devouring a piece of bread. She really enjoys eating big people food as well as making big messes.

Weddings, fires and a new found look

This last weekend we went down to visit my family and to go to one of my old roommates (well she wasn't actually my roommate but it seemed like she was) weddings. It was really fun to go and see some of my old friends we don't get to see very often (even though we all pretty much still live in the same town.) After the wedding we went back to my parents house where we had a fun little get together with my family and good friends Charlyn and Scott. We gave my mom one of those patio fire pits for mothers day so we had a good time roasting marshmellows and hot dogs. Everyone enjoyed sitting around laughing at Madison, she has discovered a new face she can make.

We were trying to get a picture with the hat on but Madison would have it off before we could get a picture.

Photo Shoot

Last night Karl, Madison and I decided to get in the car and go up the canyon to eat McDonalds and take some cute pictures. It was really fun and Madison really seemed to enjoy it. We took a lot of pictures but we also got a lot of really good ones too so I decided to post my favorites. Beware there are a lot! Hope you enjoy.

Madison finally crawled...well sorta

Madison continues to grow every single day. She has learned to do many "big girl" things. She can wave, clap, blow raspberries, click her tongue and she loves to Jabber. Sometimes I think she really thinks she is communicating with us. She can say da da and ma ma. She is really good with her little fingers and can have anything in her mouth in no time at all. She is really playful and even likes to wrestle. She gives kisses and hugs and lets face it, she's just cute but there is something we have been trying to get her to do for quite some time now and that is crawl. Well today was quite the monumental day. We finally were able to get her to crawl... or at least move from one place to another. I have never seen anything like it. See for yourself.

Happy mothers day!

Twins and BBQ grills

Yesterday was quite the eventful day. It started off by us babysitting our little friend Maleah. Maleah and Madison are only 8 days apart and it is really fun to watch them play together. They love to give eachother hugs all the time but usually are not very gentle about it but it is still so cute. It did not take me very long however to realize how much work it really is to take care of two curious little girls. Although I still can not say what it is really like to have twins, yesterday I was able to get a quick glimpse at the life of having twins. One thing I found that was on the plus side of having two babies was that they played really well together and kept themselves entertained for longer periods of time then they other wise would have. But on the down side I found that when one was tired and would start crying, the other one would too. And it was almost impossible to get them to take their nap because there was too much going on. All in all though, it wasn't too bad. I still don't think I could do it all the time though. After Maleah left, I decided that I wanted to go buy a grill for Karl with part of our graduation money so we went and found ourselves the perfect grill. Lacey and steve came over last night to help us set it up and to have a BBQ. We however, did not realize that every single piece had to be assembled. It took a lot longer then we expected but I have to admit that those were the best $200 burgers I have ever eaten!

The finished product. Thanks Steve for all the help setting it up!

Our little girl is growing up!

So I know that I already posted today but I just downloaded some new pictures of Madison and I couldn't help but think our little girl is growing up so fast. She is definitely not a baby anymore.

Sick Again!!

So Madison is sick yet again. She now has Croup. Hopefully none of you who have been around us should have to worry because we have been keeping ourselves confined in our house so that no one else will catch this awful sickness. It seems like Madison has been sick almost constantly for the last 3 months or so. I think once she got RSV it just totally weakened her immune system and now any germ that comes by says "Hey lets go for a ride." I am SO done with her being sick. The poor girl. But surprisingly, even when she is really sick she still acts pretty happy. I don't know how she can do it because I sure wouldn't be able to. Anyway here is a picture of Maddie in her new sunglasses. They're still a little big but we still like them.

My daddy did what?

Madison and I are so proud of our man. He is officially done with school as of today, at least for now, hopefully forever for his sake. We had a really nice day today celebrating with all of our family. Thanks everyone for being so supportive and for the much loved gifts.
We are so excited to have our daddy back. Lately it seemed like all of his extra time was having to be put into school so we are very grateful it is all over now.

New Dress

I bought Madison a new dress yesterday at Dillards. It was a little bit more expensive but I really liked it. I was trying to decide if I really wanted to keep it so I decided to put it on her and take pictures. Once I saw it on her I quickly made my decision. What do you all think??? See you can still see the price tags!

One more Picture

Oh and just a side note. Last night Karl and I went on our very first get a way without Madison since she was born. We went and stayed in a cute little bed and breakfast where we felt like everyone was there to serve us. The room we stayed in was so cute and the breakfast this morning was great. Madison stayed with Aunt Lacey and Uncle Steve and seemed to have a great time but I must say we were both very excited to see eachother this morning. I love my baby!
