Trees, trees, everywhere!

For those who may have driven through our neighborhood lately may wonder why there are huge holes dug everywhere you turn. There's got to be at least 100 of those holes in the park strips through the entire neighborhood. (Update: I counted at least 135 holes with new trees today- and that doesn't even include the trees that have been here a while.)
Today was delivery day, and I must say, the delivery made me happy! Look at all these trees!!! The haven't been planted yet but they are huge. I think there are at least 10 trees being planted just on our round-about alone.

If you look closely you can see trees laying on the ground all the way down the street.

We started putting up our Halloween decorations too. We haven't done much yet but it's still fun anyway.
I love the way our eyeball wreath looks on our newly painted door too. So much better than being on a brown door.

This little guy is getting ready for Halloween as well...
Love my little monster!

And this little lady is getting ready for something too.
Sorry babe, just because you have shoes on over your PJ's does not mean Mommy is going to let you leave the house like that. :)

And this wonderful big sis has been a great little helper while I've been a bit under the weather.

And apparently this little lady thinks she needs to wear sunglasses in the house...

Our kids sure are silly, but oh so much fun.

Some things that made me smile this week...

Aubrey's sincere and overly excited love for her brother...

The way she can sleep anywhere...

The way we get things done...

That wild and crazy hair...
(notice the scar on her elbow left over from the pins?)

This sweet face...

That look...

Our pumpkins with my October pumpkin...

Playing with his first ball...

Shoe shopping...

Per tradition, these little ladies got to go birthday shoe shopping with their Auntie Kate today.

Our goal was to find cute, functional shoes that we all agreed on.

First up: Madison

I absolutely love Madison's new shoes. I totally wish I could get them in my size.

Next up: Brooklyn

Brooklyn was absolutely in love with these shoes! I found another pair of shoes I really wanted her to get but there was absolutely no convincing her otherwise. I do like these shoes too though, so it's ok. I just really liked the other ones.

Last but not least: Aubrey

We really needed some good walking shoes for this little lady. She seems to be pretty pleased with them as well.

Thank you Auntie Kate for all the cute shoes!

Capturing the moment...

Today I present you with a little blast from our past brought to us my my photographer friend, Ashley Gammill. She took these pictures of Miss Madison over 4 years ago for her photo portfolio with the intention of giving me a disc with all the pictures when she was done editing them. In the meantime, our family moved, and then moved again and again. We moved a total of 6 times in the space of about a 2 or 3 year period. Anyway, lately Ashley has been doing the same and has moved a few times. About a week ago she contacted me to get my address so she could finally get me the pictures. She said they had carried the CD with her through all of their moves and it was about time she got them to us.
We got the disk in the mail yesterday. It was fun to look back at little Maddie and see how she has grown over the years.

Thanks Ashley for holding on to that disk for all these years!
