Singing Time with Brooklyn
Lately it seems like little Miss Brooklyn does nothing but walk around the house singing. It's pretty funny to watch her- even moreso when we figure out what she is actually trying to sing.
This movie is pretty short but I thought it was cute. Really, I know most of you don't really care but I wanted to show my mom this video so... here it goes.
Can you tell what song she is trying to sing?
...
The Answer:
The wheels on the bus
Auntie Linda Doll
Remember the big GINORMOUS doll Maddie got for Christmas that really is bigger than Maddie? The one that was appropriately named Auntie Linda (even though she has no idea that Auntie Linda was Santa's little helper in getting her this doll) Well she is still a big hit with that little tyke. Actually, she sleeps with her on a daily basis. On occasion I come in to bed to find Maddie sleeping in some pretty interesting positions. Here are just a few.
And just because I don't really have anything special to blog about right now, here are a bunch of pictures from the last month or so that I never actually posted- but still like.
Yes, she did do this to herself and yes, she was pretty stuck.
I love this picture. It is of Karl with my Grandpa and my uncle Steve. Grandpa piled 2 pillows on top of eachother to sit on for this picture so he wouldn't look so short next to Karl and Steve. I love the expression we caught on his face.

After 4 days of non stop searching...
That meets pretty much all of my standards.
...Which as my family would say, were set pretty high,
so we are pretty happy.
The rent is REALLY affordable,
including all utilities, cable and internet.
We will actually be living in a house- not an apartment complex.
Karl's work commute is very reasonable- about 15 minutes.
We are close to the freeway- about a minute off of 2-15
but it is a newer development area with less traffic than some areas.
The house is less than a year old- meaning I don't have to worry about letting my children play in our home because it is nice and clean and in great shape.
(most of the apartments we looked at, this really was not the case)
We will be living in the upstairs, while our landlord will be living in the basement with his two young children- which means, he is used to the noise that children make so we won't always be walking on egg shells trying to make sure we are super quiet.
He has a 4 year old girl and a 3 year old boy that my girls can't wait to get to play with.
And last but not least, we will be able to use our own belongings again!
As long as everything goes as planned
(as in we get our official offer and contract for the job and everything looks good)
then we will officially be moving to Salt Lake the first of April!

There's something in my ear!
This morning while playing with her Lite Brite Madison informed me that there was something in her ear that was hurting her. I kind of had an idea of what it was but it still took me by surprise when I found what I found.
...
Little Miss Madison had the wonderful experience of getting tubes put in her ears to help take care of all the ear infections she had been getting.
When they put in the tubes we were told that they would fall out naturally within about 9 months to a year...
When I looked in Madison's ear this morning, there was in fact something in her ear. I had to give a little assistance but it wasn't long before I pulled out what was inside.
Here we are almost 2 and a half years later and tube 1 of 2 has finally decided to make it's way out of her ear.
All I can say is, I'm pretty sure she is going to be hearing a little better now that we pulled that wax covered tube out of her ear. No wonder she was complaining her ear was hurting...
And just because I have always been curious as to what these little guys look like that they put in her ears, I had to take a picture. I can not believe how tiny it is. It looks like a miniature sewing bobbin not much bigger than the tip of a tooth pick. Now how that little thing was able to prevent innumerable ear infections I will never know but OH how grateful we were for this little guy!
(The tube is on the tip of the toothpick seen in this picture)

Masquerade Birthday Party
(Birthday cake decorated by Miss Madison and Brooklyn)
I'm a little late in posting this... but this week was my sister Katie's birthday, and since we just so happened to be in town we decided to throw a party. My sister Michelle came up with the idea to have a "masquerade" party where we all got to decorate our own masks. Although we all looked quite silly, we had a lot of fun doing it.
