Brooklyn loves to roll. We were having some sleeping issues lately where Brooklyn would wake up in the night and then it would take us forever to get her to go back to sleep. Finally, one night I discovered part of the problem... we were still wrapping her arms up in her blanket at night because it was the easiest way to get her to calm down at bedtime. The problem- she couldn't roll from her back to her tummy or visa versa with her arms wrapped in her blanket. When I finally stopped wrapping her arms up she stopped waking up a million times during the night.
I love walking in after nap time to find Brooklyn pulling the bumper pad down as low as she can so she can watch the door and wait for me to come and get her. I love the way her face lights up when she sees me.
I love that Madison likes to help me with all of the things that I don't particularly enjoy (i.e dishes and laundry). She actually is getting really good at folding her own laundry and is always so proud when she does it right.

I love that Brooklyn really is a content baby. Other than when she is tired or hungry, she is usually pretty happy to play with anyone around. She does however make you (as in anyone but mom, dad and Maddie) work really hard to get her cute little smiles out of her.

I love that you never really know what Madison is thinking...
(no she wasn't crying or even unhappy at this moment)
(...like I said, who knows?)

I love how determined Brooklyn is. When she decides she wants something, she does her best to get it. For example, the other day while at the Dr's for her 6 month appointment, instead of being scared of the doctor and all of his funny instruments she was trying to take them away from him and trying to eat them.
It is this same determination that is motivating her to move. She is determined not to be left behind when her mommy or sister leave the room. She is getting really close to actually crawling but for now she has resorted to super rolling.

I always love to hear and see the things little miss Madison comes up with. More often than not, she catches me completely off guard. For example, the other day I was trying to get her to come to me so I could put her shirt on. She was being a little tease and wouldn't come over so I said to her (in a joking way) "Get your little bottom over her!" So what do you think she did? She stood up, turned around and backed her little bottom right up in front of me- giggling the whole time. Little smart aleck.
I absolutely love it when Brooklyn does her shy smile where she gets this huge grin on her face and then either hides her head in your chest or puts her chin down to her chest and fold her arms up against her body. So cute.

Oh and on a side note. Madison came crying to me the other day that she got an eye stuck up her nose. I was a little confused so I asked her to explain. She said "I stuck an eye up my nose and it got stuck" and then she proceeded to show me the eye ball that had been. stuck up her nose. Sure enough it was an eye. (one of the little craft googly eyes)
Really I could go on forever with this post but I think it is already long enough so the rest will have to wait. I hope you enjoyed, even if all you did was look at the pictures.
